Gratidudes

by Matthew Ashdown ( MattiDude )

“Gratefulness is the key to a happy life that we hold in our hands, because if we are not grateful, then no matter how much we have we will not be happy — because we will always want to have something else or something more.”

- David Steindl-Rast

One of the most popular blogs that has been written on this site in the last few months has been on the subject of “enough”, particularly related to money for many but what I share below can relate to every area of life. The next few blogs will be dedicated to this, and the power of gratitude to change it.

I work with people helping them to lose weight through helping them realise that they are enough, are doing enough, and have enough.  And many people believe they cannot have health because they do not have money to eat the organic foods or purchase the supplements their body needs.

There are tonnes of books out there on getting rich, but many people feel like they just don’t have enough to see through until tomorrow and this results in stress which affects the body.  Maybe thinking rich is too big of a jump for you this week. It can be difficult to jump from the idea of struggling to pay the bills to visualising wealth.  It could also be alot easier if we allow ourselves that possibility.  With a little relief, day by day, you can get to that place of feeling abundant.  You must feel abundance and believe in it, before you will ever see it.

We know and understand that there are many people being challenged at this time, in this economy.  The ones who are choosing to feel and think a different way, are helping to create the new economy.  We can all become part of this, by making a conscious choice to think and feel differently.

Ever heard the phrase “Be, Do, Have”?  Well, it applies to everything in our life.  And that includes money.  When it comes to subject of money, are you like me, who used to feel shame, guilt, insecurity, frustration, anger and sadness around the subject of money, and sometimes still notices these feelings?  Every so often these feelings rear their head and we get to either supress them or embrace them.  When we embrace them with love and gratitude, we get to change how we “Be”.

There is often guilt around the having and doing.  Some feel guilt that they have more than others in other parts of the world. People have spoken much of this at this time with Haiti going through what they are going through.  Some people feel guilt because they believe they are not doing enough to make the money they need for their family or friends on a daily basis.  Guilt is an energy that sucks the lifeforce out of us, and is a choice.

Shame is another one.  How many people feel shame that they cannot provide for their family?  How many people feel shame because they don’t have as much money as their friends and neighbours.  There is still a lot of shame in the world around the subject of money.  I believe that the contrast we are observing in the world around this is going to bring a new light to the subject.

Remember, these toxic emotions are sitting inside of us until we release them.  Many people refuse to look there, to feel these feelings.  Yet, when we do, it is really not as bad as many expect it to be.  And weight loss and vitality are a wonderful side effect! In the next blog I will be exploring in greater depth the feelings of shame and guilt, and how to bring about healing within your life with these emotions.

The shame and the guilt cause people to create sickness within their body and gain extra weight through stress.  Health and fitness, not money management or creation, is my expertise.  This is why I am passionate about the subject of enough and having experienced first hand how much better the body feels when it knows and trusts that it is enough, is doing enough, and has enough.  Gratitude, as any GratiDude knows, is one of the best ways that we can move to that place of recognising that we have enough.

Until next time, see how this affirmation works for you:

“I am enough, I am doing enough, I have enough”

If you think it is not working, that is why you will want to read next weeks blog.

And write those gratitude lists each and every day!!!!

In the mean time, for those of you keen to get going and know that you have enough, there is a FREE teleseminar series on Tapping or EFT ( Emotional Freedom Technique ) coming up on February 21st, featuring some of the top experts on this subject.  As proof that you have enough of what you need, this is a free teleseries.  This is one of the most powerful tools that you can use to eliminate those feelings of shame and guilt, and will prep you for the next blog.  Click on the link below for the free intro videos and get tapping today!
